My colleage University of San Francisco Professor Dan Rascher uses the
Oakland Baseball Simworld for his Sports Economics course, and has his students play "management consultant" to the Oakland A's. They use the Oakland sim to run different kinds of scenarios using various spending and financing decisions and evaluating the outcome of each simulation run.
The Oakland sim offers over 100 decision choices; but the student can make as few as three for each "year" of the sim run.
